The World Meeting of Families: which takes place in Dublin in August 2018 is being launched throughout the country this weekend including at our Masses this Saturday and Sunday.

Mission Month of October 2017World Mission Sunday is in two weeks’ time! Please remember that in two weeks’ time, the Holy Father invites all Catholics to contribute to a special collection, the Mission Sunday collection.  World Missions Ireland is the Holy Father’s official charity for overseas mission and is responsible for coordinating Mission Sunday in Ireland.  All of the Mission Sunday materials are available on World Missions Ireland’s website –



Matt Talbot Novena:  continues this Monday at  7.30pm in St. Senan’s Church Kilrush and on Tuesday at 7pm in SS. John & Paul Church Shannon.  We welcome Bishop Fintan to his first Matt Talbot Novena.  Petitions/Prayers of thanksgiving can be left at the shrine or sent to the special petition email on where the Novena can also be watched live each week.  Everyone welcome!

To prepare for the development of new ground we will be removing debris from the graveyard. There is a lot of unsightly debris and we ask that there is no longer any dumping of debris of any kind in the graveyard PLEASE – including flowers, grass, earth, stones etc, and anything used to develop graves. Clare County Council has notices displayed at the graveyard re dumping -anyone dumping debris is liable to prosecution by them. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.




Eucharistic Ministers: The three week training programme for our Eucharistic Ministers has been completed. As part of our Masses this weekend we have a short commissioning rite. Those who will serve as Eucharistic ministers are, Kay Keating, Emer Lynch, Mary Naughton, Mary Shannon, Geraldine Moloney, Kathleen Lynch, Mary Blake, Mary Magner, Teresa Glendinning and Krystina Pomeroy. We thank them for taking on this ministry and pray that God will bless them always.
